"Creativity and Madness" - Video 1

The idea upon making a small collaboration with Jason Silva (filmmaker and performance philosopher, founder of the Youtube Channel "Shots of Awe" and the host of "Brain Games" on National Geographic Channel) came up to me upon watching one of his most famous (at least to me ;)) videos from the Shots of Awe Channel  - The Existential Bummer . About love, of course.  I don't know if it was the timing or just the circumstances or simply the stars aligning in their magnificence. My wish came true. I remember telling Nene, second crazy artistic half of my heart and my friend and co-blogger - Hey, i really want this. It has depth, it is inspiring, it is poetic. It is exactly what we need right now. So, let's just contact Jason and see if he even replies.

So without a second thought, we wrote Jason an email asking him if he would be willing to collaborate with us, shooting and sending us a small voiceover. 5 Minutes later - we got our answer. Yes. We will get a voiceover and we got a green light to use it in whichever way we wanted. And we couldn't be more thankful ;) It took us a bit, but a few weeks later we were shooting in a milk-filled bath in half an empty apartment - a video which later turned out to be one of the most challenging projects to edit.

The ideas were pretty fixed. Contrasts - Black and white, him and her, fire and water, madness and creativity. We knew from the start what we wanted and how we wanted it. The "putting it into action" part was a bit tougher - but thanks to Felix (thank God for cute mutual friends of mutual friends) and Nene <3 and a tiny bit to me - today is the day when i finally can present our work to the world. And i am damn proud of every single minute that went into the creation and production of this project.

Now, without further ado - i present the video itself.

And as a sweet cherry on top - the childishly hilarious Behind the Scenes.
